This project is aimed at rural people in Cambodia who don’t have access to clean, safe drinking water. As a result of poor water quality and hygiene practices, Many people in Cambodia experience poor health, and the infant mortality rate is alarming, with diarrhea still the biggest killer of children under five years of age. Additionally, poor water quality and poor hygiene result in a non-productive society with high absenteeism among workers and students. This project addresses these issues and empowers the recipients to take charge of their life, health and education and see continual improvement on a scalable level.
The majority of people that will be helped are part of the poorest in Cambodia in districts where many live on less than $2 per day. This project not only solves the water and sanitation issues but also improves the local economy increasing monthly income.
