The Laos Church Planting Program is designed to bring total transformation to the local community irrespective of their background. The church planter is taught the principles of leading a Kingdom church that empowers the local community and is self-supporting.
Typically the leaders are dynamic and have a genuine passion to help everybody in their community and help them solve local challenges such as water and sanitation, health, unemployment, addictions, poverty etc. Working with local community leaders the church implements a community development strategy to empower and help every member of society by building trust and training and developing people to win at life.
The church planter will also set up a livelihood project to self-support so as to not be a financial burden on their community. This not only helps him or her to support themselves but acts as a means to teach and develop others to begin small enterprises. Typically a church planter will start their small business and within a short time, they are helping train and fund others to do the same, thus beginning to shift the local economy in an upward fashion.
Our church planters obviously also begin a gathering in the local community to teach people from the Word of God as a means to encourage people to believe and live a more fruitful and productive life. Each church planter will also make a commitment o plant further churches in surrounding communities and as a part of that process, they train and develop other leaders in their region.
All of these elements together begin the pathway of transformation for that local community with influence being seen in every sector of society.
